STEP 1: All NEW officials MUST complete the Hockey University (HU) - Officiating 1/2 online module. Once Hockey University is complete (including the post-module survey), any official 18 years or older as of December 31 of the current calendar year MUST complete ‘Step 2’ by submitting for a Criminal Record Check. All new officials 17 year or under as of December 31 that have completed ‘Step 1’ may proceed to ‘Step 3.’
STEP 2: Any official without a valid CRC that is 18 years of age or older as of December 31 of the current calendar year must complete a CRC. A valid CRC is required prior to registering for the current season. The link below in the ‘Step 2’ provides the process for submitting for a new CRC, at no charge. Please see the video below regarding access to your e-hockey account to check the status of your most recent CRC. CRCs are valid for three (3) seasons.
STEP 3: With all of the applicable aspects of steps 1-2 fulfilled, officials may proceed to registering for their 2023-24 clinic. It is advised to consult with your local RIC regarding whether or not an in-person clinic is being offered by your association.
