Hockey Yukon has been approved to operate two teams within the BCHockey Zone Program next season (2018-2019)

About the Hockey Yukon Bantam Tier 1 Rivermen
After a successful 2017/2018 season, the Bantam Tier 1 Rivermen will continue to operate in a similar fashion inside the BC Hockey Zone Program.
-Players from Yukon, NWT, Nunavut, Northern Alberta, Northern BC and Alaska may be eligible to tryout
-The Bantam Tier 1 Rivermen will be on the ice +/-6 x per week with off ice development sessions as well

-Team events, showcases and league play
-Flexible options to incorporate distance and online courses to compliment course work requirements
-Proven hockey skills programming
-7 hours of on-ice instruction per week
-2 dryland training sessions per week
-Professional skating, conditioning and goaltending clinics
-Screened billet families for out-of-town players
-Strong sense of community and many opportunities for outdoor activities
-Ability to compete at the BC Tier 1 level
The Investment
Team fees for the Program are approximately $4,000 to $5,000 and can be offset by sponsorships and fundraising.
The league fees assessed by BC Hockey to participate in the Zone Program (Bantam Rivermen Team) are approximately $3,500 and can include, but not limited to:
